This could be great if you're looking for help with Adwords.. if you know what people are tweeting, you have to assume there'd be an interest in searching for that keyword as well..

Wow...just took this in for a few minutes. 2/3 of the posts related to a TV show everyone must be watching. A mob mentality.

One post: newser First Rihanna Photo Emerges First Rihanna Photo Emerges - Crime & Courts news | Newser

A guy must have hit a gal and the photos of her show her beat up badly from what I gather.

Certainly is topical. What a way for people to vent. Yelling at the world by twittering.

You're right about adwords. This shows what's on people's minds - though from the stream I just viewed, the posts are heavily skewed to reactions to the boob tube.

Interesting stream of (un?)consciousness.

Yeah, I caught the same just now when I checked it.. I had heard (barely) of Rihanna before but had never heard of Chris Brown before this all broke. Mob mentality is right, but potentially a great research tool.

The left hand column lets you adjust the twitterfall for certain trends you might be interested in.

Left hand trends have contained zero that I'm interested in .

There is a wordpress theme/plugin that will keep tweets updated on a selected keyword.

See here: domaintwitters.com
It updated only those tweets that are about domains.
And it updated like every 20 seconds or so.

Drawback is no way to keep the tweets (does not use database).
