Default A personal blog vs. a more professional blog?

You may know some good very personal blogs, people discussing subjects from their life etc., and you may know blogs that are more imitating news sites. They're often about recent natural hazards/disasters, technology or some other.

What kind of blog would you most like to make? I think the answer to this question also depends on wether you make your blog your personal homepage (I do), or not. Ofcourse having a personal homepage is very nice, but having a successful and well-visited blog is also sweet. So "what's it gonna be"? :P

Pro blogs, I realy don't care if some guy did this today or that last week. I'm not gona waiste my time reading a person's site.

So, I prefer professional blogs. Tech blogs are the best IMO

I'd rather have a personal blogs where my friends and I can get updated on each other's lives. Though a professional blog is what almost everyone wants...it's too much work for me to research every new thing and write an article on it.

i would have the same as SquireQuack..

I say so as personal blog are rather easy to updates, as u are talking about ur own life not about other things..

While in pro blog, u need to gather some info before u post the news.. u need extra work in pro blog... but those who love blogging wont mind the extra work..

I personally like a mix of the two. I think the best combination is when you have a professional blog, but add some of your own voice into the news, making it interesting.

I think personal blogs are worthless unless they're aimed at staying in contact with friends. Unless you're a celebrity or have a *very* interesting life (for example pool boy at the Playboy mansion) people are not going to care.

Pro blogs all the way. Choose a topic you know something about and go ahead.

I don't find that necessarily true.. I have often found personal commentaries to be interesting, much in the same way someone might read an autobiography. Many people have something interesting to say, if you listen (or read, in this case).
