Getting Webloggers Back On Track

Just to let you know that I'm spending time here deleting spam and any old, outdated posts and threads in an effort to get webloggers back on track and up to date.

99.9% of the Marketplace threads have been deleted as they were either a) spam, or b) old and outdated.

Spam in any form will no longer be tolerated here at webloggers and all new threads and posts will be moderated. Spam and spammers will be deleted and banned.

I hope all new members will take the time to introduce themselves and bear with us as we do a bit of "housecleaning".

To help in our re-launch of WebLoggers.ORG we've added vBseo, video posts in forums, much more active moderation and posting by staff, and more.

To truly do well here we need the help of an active community of bloggers. To that end we'll soon be adding links at the very top of WebLoggers.org that will go to the top posters over the last 30 days (a running 30-day average).

See the links at the very top of this page as an example of the links we'll provide to our most active ten or twenty posters (again, activity measured each day over the last 30 days):

Blogging Forum, Blog Marketing, Blogger Help - WebLoggers.org Forum

The more you post, the better the chances you'll have a highly visible top-of-the-page text link to your site.

I really believe, looking at various forums, that many members either have moved on to other forums, or they have just given up on forums.

See that often on forums, somebody will show up and say something like "been a year (or two years, whatever) since I been here. Where are all the regulars?"

Guess all we can do is keep posting quality content, and continue having good conversations. The rest of the world will catch up, IMHO.
