This weekend we'll be making the links at the top of WebLoggers.Org link to your site instead of to your member profile here.

Tom is solid in first place at 93 posts. 5th place only ahead of 6th and 7th by one post!

Anyone with a half dozen posts a day could between now and December 29th could see themselves at the top of WebLoggers for six months! Good luck.

Member dgridley made a big jump from 6th to 2nd place; 5th place has a tie and 8 more members are within 10 posts of getting into the 5th place slot for a 6-month text link in our header!

QUALITY JUDGING

Now, what the 'A'!? A = outstanding QUALITY of posts, for knowledge contained and conveyed in the posts, for relating to other Members, etc.

Not all Members' posts above have been "judged".

On December 29th I'll start going through top posters. "A" posters will be awarded an additional 50 posts for contest judging purposes. Starting at the top of the quantity column, we'll work down the list, adding "A" quality bonus posts, till we have our top five for six months of text links in the header of www.WebLoggers.Org.

I think quality is important when posting in regards to this contest, but every post is welcome, I'd expect... I don't think Keith expects every post to be an essay or treatise!

AMEN!

You really get a feel for the quality of posts over time. I nearly just left that "Amen" as a post all by itself. That kind of thing is OK once in a while, just to chime in in agreement, for example. But when that is a consistent pattern of posting, it is annoying, as are posts that say "This whatever is good" without a link, a context, saying whether the user is experienced, etc.

Overall, the quality of posts at this board have been far superior to the average forum. The quality emphasis is placed here to prevent abuse for contest purposes, and to reward those who may not post quite as often...but their posts are top quality posts overall - the kind that attract members and enhance community.
