I got a good database of drink recipes last week just because the price was right.
Then I regged an excellent domain for the drink recipes, drinksblog.com.

Now what I have been doing with the drink recipes, since they came with the same posting date, and each has some weird errors, is daily I post a new drink recipe and clean it up a bit and use a new posting date.

Check it out, the blog is not a fancy blog, no big graphics at the top, etc.
And let me know what you think.

Looks good.. clean and simple template.

Can I make a couple suggestions? Add a few pics here and there for visual interest, even if it's a couple ice cubes, lol! Helps break up the text monotony.

Also, seeing as it's a recipe site, how about adding a post plugin to allow visitor's to rate the recipe?

Excellent suggestion.
If I can figure out how to add pictures of drinks, etc without messing up the recipes, and if I can find pictures I can use, will try to implement.

Right now, I am hunting for a new database of recipes that do have pictures included, but no such luck so far.

Looking at the plugin you suggested. Looks like it may be what I need.

I do have a script for wordpress to create review websites, and I may figure out a way to use it for recipes, and see if I can include it on this blog or have to start another blog.

Even clipart from a collections disc can help add interest. So as not to break the formatting, add the pic before or after the recipe if it's easier. I often don't bother with actually uploading my pics to my site. I use Tinypic as a host to save bandwidth and simply insert the Tinypic code where needed.

There are lots of free clipart sites too or you can use one of the many paysites. iClipart.com has some great free drinks clipart and Boxedart.com is a favorite "full service" paysite of mine.

I like to keep my images myself as that way, I am not reliant on a service that may go down.

Wow....did a simple search for drink recipes for wordpress and found a super database!
Have to wait for the person with this database to get back with me so I can purchase.
Over 9000 recipes and pictures included for each recipe (pictures not really of each drink).
And seems to be better than what I have on the blog now.

Hahahahha...think we have all had that happen to once at least once.
Maybe more for some if they did not learn their lesson the first time.

Okay, purchased the database and later will be completely redoing the blog.
So hopefully later this evening, http://www.drinksblog.com will have a new look and new drinks.
