NameTalent.com - Domain Name Publication

I launched this blog just over six months ago.. Alexa rank is near 200k, I have three paying advertisers (one just dropped). My affiliate revenue is nowhere near what it should be though as I have finally recently implemented it.

Bravo!

Very clean, organized layout, nicely focused on domaining with stuff of interest related to domains and delivering excellent content. Graphical elements compliment the content.

Widgets like the global tag cloud are fun and informative.

Your featured video (repeated here) is an excellent choice. I just spent ten or fifteen minutes at your site and learned a few things...and I've fancied myself a fairly knowledgeable domainer for some time.

I like your use of Social networking buttons, RSS, etc.

Only peeve - I like to see complete contact info everywhere. Then again, perhaps you don't want that. I do believe that a 'real' address and a (toll-free!) phone number would result in a LOT more business for you.

One of the better blogs I've viewed, perhaps because of my interest in the subject matter, not just here but anywhere.

Easy on the eyes. Easy to read and navigate. Quality content.

Ditto on Keith's observations... my exception would be I find the theme somewhat unattractive .. remember, you never have a second chance to make a good first impression.

Thanks for the comments guys! Dgridley, I agree that the theme could be much better. I am looking at integrating a fully custom theme soon!

... I completely agree with you and I will be adding that info asap. I have been in the forum (avatar) world for so long that you forget the people that will ultimately be your best customers and industry peers are those that want to really know and see who they are dealing with first. Ok, I have updated my complete contact info (including a pic) on my blog.. I've also updated my portfolio page as well. Thanks for the tips. Keith, I am glad you find the blog easy to read and easy on the eyes, that's the reason I have stuck with the theme I have and will keep it until I re-design NameTalent.

If you're not adverse to using free themes with a sponsor link in the footer, there are alot of really nice free themes offered in the threads at webtalkforums.com.. I get alot of mine from there.

Design is the most subjective aspect of sites. Clean, organized, easy-to-read and stay with - those are all more important in my book than a 'wow factor' that makes it hard on the eyes to read or to browse for any length of time.
