Best blogging topics?

What's best to blog about? Has anyone ever compared stats? I mean, should I talk about personal stuff, work stuff, internet stuff, hobby stuff?

What is the best topic for the most interest?

anything can be. but, focusing the topic will lead repeated visitors.

any professional topics would be good enough though rather speicific on personal life.

Anything that you like. However you will only get repeated visitors who are interested in your topics.

So you get beans if you plant bean seeds and you get watermelons if you plant watermelon seeds

the answer lies in what you want to do with your blog. For commercial blogging it's best to leave out personal stuff (at least initially) ... once you become well known in the blogosphere, there'll be more people who'll be interested in knowing more about you at a personal level. But then again, it depends ... take the example of a woman starting a blog about pregnancy .... here it would probably be better to relate personal experiences... because pregnancy is a very personal thing (unlike ipods etc ... which are not really personal .... ).

So in the end there are no rules ... the best bet is to pick a topic that interests you or that you want to write about... and get started. It is this "getting started" that holds back a lot of people.... but as Nike says it's always best to "Just do it..."

as the guys have mentioned, it really depends on who you intend to attract. Blogging for a business, you should never tend to deviate from your actual topics. having a seo blog and posting about your personal marketing strategies that accumulated over the past years is not so recommeded either at the beginning, as general seo topics would make it better!
