Re: Google deal to buy Twitter reported in the works
I wonder if those of us who are AdSense affiliates would benefit from monetization.
Presumably a goal of Google would be just that, monetizing Twitter much like they did YouTube.
Regards,
Keith
p.s.: In any case, the domain name Twoogle.com no doubt just increased in value! For the dollars Twitter would fetch, why wouldn't Google just build their own?

I'd think they're just playing coy.. enough money always greases the wheels.. Twitter will sell "someday", for the right price.

Re: Google deal to buy Twitter reported in the works
Well, twitter have investors who really at the present time, do not want to see twitter sold.
They are looking at the future, and if twitter ever really gets a way to monetize twitter and make scads of money, the investors will make more than selling out.

Re: Google deal to buy Twitter reported in the works
Well, are they worth $1b?
Depends on if they find a buyer willing to plunk that much down.
Right now, like so many other companies, with no revenue they should be worthless.

That's kind of my assessment as well.. potential doesn't necessarily translate to value. I really don't see how Twitter can be monetized easily.

Of course, it looks like that deal fell thru.. if Twitter were mine, I'd be inclined to dump it tho as it looks like the numbers have peaked and are headed into a decline.
