Wordpress version 2.7 coming?

Okay, I have been putting off updating my blogs.
Keep saying, I will update when wordpress releases version 2.7.

That day is fast approaching!
It is in beta now and so far no word when official release will be.

I hope it will be a little while...we just updated clients' blogs yesterday <we gave every client a free blog> and we're updating free blogs for members of our Wisconsin forum community to 2.6 today.

I wish the updates could be done from within the Wordpress control panel... I've had problems with updates in the past and almost never look forward to attempting them, particularly if I end up with broken plugins.

Yes, it would be nice.
But only if you have not modded out your blog or refigured your template.

Updates are a pain at time, but really, just the bare updated files are usually all you need.
